Elliot Caravan Park in Arbroath offers a newly built toilet and shower facility, suitable for up to six tourers or motor homes. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, even managing to find us a spot on short notice at an affordable price. The park is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach and a retail park. Additionally, there is a sweet deal on cakes at Clarke's in the late afternoon. Although the park is situated near a busy road, it tends to quiet down at night.
The owner of the site charged us £10 to refill our water tank and empty our cassette. The water tap for the camping spots, which is the only tap available, is located very close to the chemical disposal point. Campers use this tap to rinse their cassettes.
The campground is well-liked by frequent travelers and run by friendly owners. It costs £20 per night, including electricity. The grassy area is small and can get muddy. Additional fees apply for using the shower, washing machine, and dryer. However, we found that our clothes were still wet after two cycles in the dryer. The campground is conveniently located within walking distance of a grocery store, bakery, fast food options, and the beach. It's a decent place for a one-night stay.
