The Half Moon Inn in Reedness offers a pleasant and peaceful campsite, suitable for multiple vans. Located near a charming village pub, it is a great spot for a relaxing stay. The campsite is within walking distance of the scenic RSPB bird sanctuary at Blacktoft Sands and offers riverside walks along the Ouse. The pub serves a delicious carvery on Sundays and has a daily food menu, including stonebaked pizzas. Amenities include toilets, internet access, and ice pack freezing. Barbecues are allowed on the site, as long as they are off the ground.
This place was the worst on our entire trip through GB. The sanitation facilities were questionable and they charged an extra £1 for a 2-minute shower. The noise at night made it impossible to sleep, whether it was loud neighbors, the pub's exhaust fan, traffic, or pigeons.
This site is a hidden gem with stunning views and excellent amenities. It offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere at night, perfect for stargazing. The lovely pub on-site is also a great addition. The prices are reasonable at £22 per night, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
