Enjoy a peaceful picnic spot by the De Sousa River. It is located just 15-20 minutes away from Porto city center, and offers the option to swim in the river. Please note that it is recommended to use Ruas das Aguas route to avoid GPS directing you to a dirt road at the A43 exit.
The place was peaceful during our one-night stay, with the occasional passing cars. There were three friendly dogs that freely roamed around, getting along well with our own dog. We observed someone bathing in the nearby river, but we were advised by a staff member not to swim due to pollution from an upstream dump.
The place is very dirty, smelly, and slightly creepy (there are suspicious vehicles passing by). On the positive side, it is close to Porto and fairly peaceful (except for the dogs barking all night).
