The Camping Gärtnerhof is a cozy family campground located in Keszthely. It is situated just 200m away from the picturesque Lake Balaton, offering a peaceful and charming atmosphere. The hosts at the campground are friendly and welcoming. The reception is open until 7pm. Remember to bring Euros for payment. The bathrooms and showers are kept clean, making for a pleasant stay. The campground is conveniently located, with the thermal lake just 8km away and the castle just 2km away. Popular areas near the campground are less than 1km away and provide easy access to the lake.
This small place is conveniently located near Balaton and the city center. Guests are advised not to dispose of their grey water in the toilet. We found it to be somewhat expensive for our two-night stay with two adults, two children under the age of two, and a small dog during the low season, costing us 70€. The showers were clean but appeared outdated. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed during our visit. Overall, it was a pleasant and peaceful stay, although we felt the price was slightly on the higher side for this establishment.
