We offer a motorhome and camper van site that is operated by a family. Dogs and families are welcome to stay. Our site is located on a small holding surrounded by beautiful countryside. We have three pitches available with electric hook-ups and three without. We provide water and chemical disposal facilities, but unfortunately no toilets or showers. The site is secured with a locked gate. There is a pub and village high-street within walking distance, as well as various attractions such as Cannon Hall Farm, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Holmfirth, and the National Coal Mining Museum. Guests can also enjoy walks and cycling in the area. If you are interested, please contact Dan or Emma for availability. Our site is situated between Inkerman Swimming Pool and the Dunkirk Inn Pub, next to a Methodist Chapel.
The campground has made some positive changes, including a new gravel road to the camping area and a flatter field. They have also added chicken coops, which would be enjoyable for children. Furthermore, they are expanding the entrance so that motorhomes can be parked off the main road while checking in. This is a much-needed improvement. To top it off, we found six eggs on our motorhome step when we left. That was delightful!
This is a peaceful and convenient stopping point to visit nearby attractions such as Cannon Hall, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and the National Coal Mining Museum. The grass field is slightly sloping but can be easily leveled with ramps. There are electrical hook-ups, fresh water, and toilet disposal facilities available. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, making it a perfect choice for us.
