I live in the area and I wouldn't recommend staying overnight on weekends or holidays. It's not about people smoking weed, they don't really bother anyone. It's about people who come in their cars to race and intentionally cause disturbances. If you complain, you'll end up in trouble. However, on weekdays, nights are usually peaceful and calm since there is no activity or passing cars.
The place is not very clean, with a lot of litter left behind and no one to clean up or collect it. We settled in a dirt path amidst the orange trees. It was peaceful until some motorcyclists arrived and started racing on the asphalt in the abandoned industrial zone. It became noisy, so we decided to leave.
