This location is not suitable for large campers or anything other than 4x4 vehicles. It features a steep hill with cliffs on either side, making it difficult to turn around if you choose to venture down to the river. Located near the Guadiana River in Canais, it offers views of an old water mill and ancient fish trap. It is a tranquil spot surrounded by nature, with the soothing sound of the river. We enjoyed spending one night here, admiring the incredible night sky. There are no amenities, but it is a lovely place for swimming.

The road to the destination is narrow and may require reversing to pass other vehicles. It is also quite steep, so caution is advised. Although my Mercedes 508 was able to navigate the road, I was unsure at times. I stayed for three nights during the low season. Most of the time, I was alone at night and encountered some visitors during the day. I was amazed by the jumping fish. However, I caution against relying on Google Maps, as it directed me 14 kilometers before the actual location, taking me on a very poor sandy road. The last approximately 5 kilometers should be rocky.

The site is beautiful. If you don't have a 4x4 vehicle, it's advisable to park in the small area near the bin. Otherwise, you can continue all the way down to find the best spot.
