Camping na Ostrove is situated in a prime location between the two arms of the Vah river, offering stunning views of Trencin Castle. Although the facilities may be slightly outdated, the campsite is conveniently located just a short 5-minute drive from the city center. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
The location is great, but the sanitation facilities are not up to standard. There were many intoxicated people during the day, and until 3 am, there was loud music with drunk teenagers. We had to leave in a hurry at night because we couldn't sleep. It is highly recommended to avoid this place.
This place has some positive aspects such as its convenient location near the old town and castle, as well as a nice view. However, there are some areas that could be improved, like the toilettes which were somewhat clean, but in need of attention. The showers are not very appealing and there is an additional charge for hot water. In our opinion, the price of 25 for a camper, 2 adults, and 1 child (6 years and older) is too expensive for what this place offers.
