Fonyod Camping is a small campground in Hungary. It offers 5 spots for campers and also has small rental cabins. The campground is clean and well-maintained compared to other campgrounds in Hungary. You can directly access the lake from the campground, and there is a jetty where dogs are allowed to swim. While there is fresh water supply available, please note that there is no facility for disposing of gray water or chemical toilets. Overall, it's a decent option for a short stay.
The facility is outdated and reminiscent of the olden days. The sanitary facilities are similar to those found throughout the former DDR. In order to reach the lake, one must pass through a gate and cross the train tracks. Trains pass by every 20 minutes and are quite noisy, while the road on the other side is busy and loud. However, the reception was very friendly. In late September, there are limited options available.
This is a lovely small campground run by a friendly and helpful couple. They allow dogs and it's only a 5-minute walk to the nearest store. The campground has its own beach, but there is some noise from the nearby train. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and there are flat spaces for 6 motorhomes.
