The atmosphere is very calm. The restrooms are very clean and there is a large shower. The grey water drainage system is a bit homemade. There are picnic tables and a pond.

The campsite is well-maintained and clean. To enter, a phone call is required as there is no reception. The showers and toilets are also clean and there is even a hair dryer available. There are additional amenities such as a fishing pond and a large meadow. The location is conveniently close to the Monks Cross park and ride, providing easy access to York. Electrical hookups, wastewater disposal, and fresh water refills are available.

This place is great! We stayed for one night and paid £25, which included electricity. The toilets and showers were clean. There was a hairdryer available, but you need to use 20p coins. Two coins are enough to dry your whole head. They have a nice fishing lake, and it's dog-friendly. They also have recycling facilities, bins, and an elsan point. The owner was very helpful, and we had a comfortable night's sleep.
