This location is situated on the edge of South Downs National Park. It offers flat areas for convenience. There are forest paths on both sides of the road. Although there is a faint noise from the nearby A27, the sounds of nature can still be enjoyed. The Pig pub/restaurant is located half a mile up the hill. Kindly note that there are no bins available, so we kindly ask visitors to practice Leave No Trace principles.
We arrived in the evening and decided to explore the nearby area after having dinner. We took a pleasant walk in the forest across from where we were staying, and it eventually led us to a charming pub. We enjoyed some drinks and had friendly conversations with the locals before taking a short walk back to our motorhome. It was a peaceful and quiet lane with minimal traffic, and even the local dog walkers did not disturb us.
There is a lay-by situated on a narrow country road that offers a shaded and level spot. It experiences very few vehicles passing by during nighttime. The location is surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers enjoyable walking routes.
