There is a gravel parking area near the Oberegger Reservoir. There is also a covered snack available there. This place is a popular destination for day trips, offering beautiful hiking opportunities along the lake, which is around 3.5 km long. However, please note that access is restricted for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons.
Located at the edge of the Oberegger Stausee nature reserve, this peaceful and serene spot offers a picturesque setting. It's perfect for taking a leisurely stroll with your dog, as there is a path that runs alongside the lake. The left side of the path offers pleasant shade from the surrounding forest, while the right side provides sunny views on the dam.
We walked around the reservoir in the evening, it was calm and picturesque. There is a picnic area available and the parking lot was busy.
