There is a spacious area in the state forest called "Kompedal Plantage" that offers amenities such as a shelter, fireplace, and a traditional outhouse. It is surrounded by numerous hiking trails. In close proximity is Grathe Hede, which holds historical significance as it was the site of a significant battle on October 23, 1157. A monument stands there to honor this event.
