There is a paid parking space available for 25 mobile homes in Braunsbedra-Roßbach. The parking area is located in a designated and secure spot for motorhomes. The ground is mostly level and there are no trees providing shade in front of the museum, but there are trees on the sides. The parking space is equipped with lighting and allows dogs. There is a bicycle rental service on-site, and a nearby bathing lake. There are also signposted cycling and hiking trails for outdoor activities. The price per night for two adults is 10 euros, and payment should be made to the operator. The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and is open daily during the summer holidays. There are various leisure activities to enjoy around the Geiseltalsee, such as diving, swimming, cycling, hiking, and boat rentals for water sports. There is a marina in Braunsbedra with a 300-meter-long pier, as well as the Marina Muechel. At the Pfännerhall central workshop, visitors can explore the industrial monument and exhibitions on mining in the Geiseltal. There is also an exhibition on the ABORA transoceanic sailing expedition, the ICE route Halle-Leipzig/Erfurt, and the impeller by Michael Kaßler. Braunsbedra, which was built in 1761, is home to the Pfännerhall site with attractions like the forest elephant, white-tailed eagle, and primeval horse. Visitors can also take a 2-hour round trip on the Geiseltalexpress around the Geiseltalsee.
There are beautiful and peaceful spots on meadows by an impressive museum, with a lovely café and a playground for children. The lake with a beach is about a 10-minute walk away, and it is also great for cycling. We only stayed here for one night and didn't use any facilities. It's a great place for only 10 euros, and it's also dog-friendly. One could easily stay here for a longer period.
This is a nice place with some shade. There is some noise from airplanes.
