There is a nice resting area off the road with views of the Dales. If you leave this spot and head towards Ribblehead, you will find a bridleway on the left. This path leads to beautiful waterfalls about a 5-minute walk away.
The location offered a beautiful sunset, but the nearby falls were dry because of little rain. It was a quiet night with only one van present. The fish and chips from the village were disappointing—greasy and lacking flavor. It’s best to avoid that option.
There are many bathroom tissues available. The stop is great with plenty of space for more vans. There are sheep all around the area.
