This is a great place to stay for a night before catching the ferry to Ireland. The couple who own the site are very friendly and welcoming.
Frugaldom offers overnight parking for three types of vehicles: campervans, motorhomes (up to 7m in length), and microcampers. The surrounding land is being transformed into native woodlands, orchards, and wildlife gardens, with the addition of eco arts. The site provides picturesque views of the Galloway Hills. As there are ponies and goats on the premises, it is required for all dogs to be kept on a leash at all times. Frugaldom is not connected to public amenities and operates off-grid, making it only suitable for vans that are fully self-contained. The parking area is located in the main yard by the barn. You can contact or message to inquire about availability. Upon arrival, please remember to close the main gate behind you.
