There is a car park near the Durance river where it is possible to spend the night. The parking area can be accessed by all types of vehicles, but it is important to approach from the Cavaillon side as the width and height may not be suitable for larger vehicles. On weekends or during vacations, it may be challenging for bigger vehicles to maneuver due to limited space. The entrance to the car park has a downhill slope and uneven terrain, which could be problematic for vehicles with overhangs or bicycle racks. However, there is a possibility to turn around before reaching the dirt road.
This location is suitable for spending the night. The road is well-maintained with few potholes and no obstacles. The carpark is spacious and covered with gravel. However, swimming is not recommended due to sudden water releases from a nearby power station, making it hazardous. Access to the water is also limited. The carpark remains busy until late in the evening during weekdays.
We had a great night here, despite the strong wind. There is a nearby river with benches and picnic tables. There is also a cycling path suitable for mountain biking. However, there is no shade (which is not a problem in this season) and the roads are very narrow. We want to thank the person who discovered this spot.
