Camping Hameln is located in a peaceful area on the left side of the Weser river. It is conveniently located just a short 10-minute stroll away from the historic old town of Hameln.
The campground is beautiful and the sanitary facilities are exceptionally well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. It can get very busy on weekends, so it's advisable to make a reservation in advance, preferably by phone. The campground is located in a charming area that is famous for the fairytale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. There are also wonderful hiking and biking trails available. We will definitely be coming back.
The washing and shower facilities were great. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed. The location near the city center was positive, but we could also hear the traffic from the street. We paid 32 euros for the bus, including two people and a dog, which we didn't find cheap, but justified considering the good conditions provided.
You can stay with your caravan for 28€, including accommodation and electricity expenses for two people. The campsite is located very close to the city center, with a beautiful view of the Weser River, and provides facilities for clean water and waste disposal. There is also a nice restaurant on-site, and shared toilet and shower facilities are available if you don't have them in your caravan. There are many shops and restaurants in the city center where you can do your shopping and enjoy meals. If you're in the mood for Turkish cuisine, I recommend trying the Urfa Kebab Salon.
