There is a small parking lot located in the forest near the upper end of the Hasenbergsteige in Stuttgart. It is conveniently situated next to a playground and offers privacy due to the surrounding bushes and trees. The parking bays are around 6m in size, and while it is possible to park across the street at night, it tends to be too crowded during the day.
Convenient location outside the protected area. A quick walk through the forest to the nearby tram-train stop, providing direct access to the city center. However, we had some inconvenience as we were camping with a car. Hikers can start their journey from 6am, but there were road works starting at the same time, causing some disturbance to our sleep. (We ended up sleeping in the car.)
The entrance is very relaxed and there are plenty of spacious parking lots. It's surprisingly quiet considering its location. If you ride scooters, the journey from the city is quite fast, otherwise it's a steep uphill path.
