This is a scenic location ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and biking, offering breathtaking views of Étang de Berre. There are numerous trails to discover and the parking area, which is mostly flat and covered in gravel, is conveniently located. It is popular among locals during the day but quiet at night, and we stayed for two nights without any issues. Additional parking options are available to the north, but please be aware of potential restrictions on motor vehicles. We also found another suitable spot further up the road.
Upon arriving in the middle of the night, we found an empty parking lot in a peaceful natural setting. Two garbage bins were available for use. In the morning, we encountered a few early morning hikers. The location offered a beautiful viewpoint.
Beautiful location with a stunning view of a rocky plateau. Although there is some airplane noise, the sound of the cicadas masks it well. We were enjoying our solitude until the local police kindly asked us to leave due to the current dry climate and heightened fire alert (as there have been two recent fires in the area). It's a shame, we would have loved to stay longer.
