Apologies for your negative experience. The area you visited is a wilderness zone, and not frequently visited by campers. Hence, it is not mentioned much in the announcement. Off-road enthusiasts tend to have a more enjoyable time in that area compared to regular campers.
We stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. Our room was on the upper level, which had modern amenities like a shower, two toilets, and a sink. Everything was impeccably clean. The playground nearby was also lovely. We loved how close we were to the small dock with stand-up paddleboards and the disc golf course. There were plenty of blueberries to pick in the forest. The only potential downside might be limited restroom facilities when the place is crowded.
