The Spießfeld Leisure Center is a scenic parking lot located in a beautiful forest. The public restroom is accessible only when the Waldschänke restaurant is open during the summer. On pleasant days, many people are drawn to the lovely forest playground and lake. The surrounding forest paths are perfect for walking and cycling. Nearby, there is "On the Moret," a mine, and the NaturFreundeHaus Dieburg, where visitors can enjoy a meal. The coordinates for the center are 49.903557, 8.768992.
During the day (on weekends), there is a lot of activity here. However, I have spent two very peaceful nights here. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of picnic benches. In late June, the parking lot was illuminated by countless fireflies at night.
During the day, many visitors come to the park, often arriving early. It is a large space with numerous playground equipment. The parking lot is open to the public and we did not see any signs prohibiting parking. At night, we were the only ones there, and it was very quiet. Occasionally, there was some airplane noise from nearby, but it was not disruptive.
