The dam offers a great view of Räterichsbodensee. A steep gravel path goes down to the wall, just before the hospice junction. Construction work is ongoing around the clock, but it is not disruptive for sleeping.
This location has a busy street nearby during the day but is very quiet at night. It offers a great view. Parking is allowed on the left before a certain chain, but beyond that is a no-parking zone for helicopters. A nice spot to return to.
Die Nacht im Auto war ruhig, trotz des nicht idealen Wetters. Der Straßenabstieg war nicht so steil wie beschrieben. Baulärm war nicht zu hören, und es blieb hell durch die Straßenbeleuchtung. Der Platz hatte genügend Raum für zwei VW Busse.
