The campsite at Kelbra reservoir offers a pitch near the entrance. Electricity is available for free and there are sanitary facilities on the campsite. You can enjoy bike and motorbike tours with scenic routes, including the famous 36 hairpin bends to Kyffhäuser. The reservoir also offers a great swimming spot.
We stayed here for one night. The price of 15€, including electricity, was reasonable. We were able to use all the facilities of the campsite. The parking space is shared with cars and is fairly level with a gravel surface. It is located directly opposite the campsite reception. If you don't want to spend 27€ behind the barrier at the campsite, this is a much cheaper alternative.
We had a peaceful night here. The campground has a spacious grassy area where you can set up your camp wherever you like. It offers a lovely view of the nearby reservoir, which is great for dog owners. The toilet and shower facilities were clean. We would definitely come back again.
