If you enjoy open spaces and are not bothered by wind turbines, this location offers a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. While there may not be any services available, there is a stunning cairn a few miles to the south that you can visit and admire.
Avoid during the summer due to midges. The wind died down in the early evening and then it was horrible. Otherwise, it's a beautiful spot surrounded by wind turbines and sheep on the road, and very peaceful. However, the midges ruined our enthusiasm and spoiled the experience - there were even some in the morning.
This stop offers a great opportunity to observe turbines up close. It is a peaceful location with minimal road noise, and can accommodate up to four vehicles. You can take a pleasant walk through the turbine fields and experience their impressive size.
